For the last couple of weeks I have been having trouble connecting to gmx.com. It keeps saying connection to server imap.gmx.com timed out. I deleted and reinstalled the account but same thing. I also contacted gmx but so far no response. Is there something I am missing in the settings? Is anyone else having this problem? Thank you

ich habe ein outlook konto, dass ich mit thunderbird öffne. vorhin habe ich neue ordner erstellt, bei thudnerbird, und dort emails reinkopiert. die sind allerdings dort nicht angekommen. ich habe dann thunderbird geschlossen und outlook online geöffnet. die ordner sind da, die emails aber nicht. sie sind auch nicht im gelöscht ordner oder in einem anderen ordner, sie sind einfach weg. was kann ich jetzt machen

When I try to send an email, Thunderbird says failed and asks for the outbound.att.net password. I've entered the correct password and the send fails again.

Hi I am having problems signing into or adding my tpg account email address through both outlook and thunderbird. My address and passwords are correct and I have used the settings in both email programs as listed by the messaging company. The error message I am getting is that on thunder bird it cannot find the settings for my emaill account and on outlook it cant find the settings. I have had ongoing issues with my tpg account, this one is a pop3, since the messaging co took over the emails when tpg moved them to there. Issues are that i get very sporadic emails ie one week working the next nothing for long periods of time. I can successfully add gmail accounts to thunderbird and outlook without problems but the tpg one is my issue. I can get tpg emails through the gmail app on my phone with pop 3 settings but nothing on thunderbird. I have contacted the messaging co for help but other than settings they cannot help and suggested coming to thunderbird for help. I prefer to use thunderbird as my email program to have everything on one would be great again. Can anyone offer advice or assistance I would greatfully appreciate it

Thunderbird causes my machine to 'hang' from time to time, often for up to a second and usually a number of times in quick succession on each ocasion. Sometimes this happens frequently - say every 5 or 10 minutes - sometimes only after an hour or more since the past occurrance. My machine hangs completely - nothing will work, mouse, keyboard, sound, other apps etc. If I happen to be typing (into any app - including Thunderbird - when this happens, input ceases, the cursor freezes and - if the problem persists for a second or two, Windows reports "[app] is not responding" I cannot be certain, but I believe the problem occurs whilst messages are being retrieved.

This is a very serious problem as it means that I can never leave TB running as the problems it causes are not acceptable. This means I cannot deal with incoming messages without periodically re-starting TB - which is an utter PIA.

I am running Win 11 Professional on a 2-year old machine with 64 Gb of memory. I have run TB in Troubleshoot mode, I have confirmed that the problem occurs regardless or whatever other apps are running (or none) and I have proven conclusively that no other app causes any kind of similar problem.

Looking forward yto hearing if others have had the same issue and what can be done about it.

The other day previews of messages quit working in Local Folders>Inbox. New messages will show the preview, but not any of the older messages. The preview area is just blank. I drew an arrow to the preview area.

"Could not connect to server mail.atmc.net; the connection was refused" message after the installation of version 149.0. I've verified my server settings & turned off the firewall setting & it still won't connect. It worked find before 149.0 installation.

PDF file attachments were working fine and now they don't.

I get no error message, but nothing happens when it's set to open in Acrobat. I can view the file in "Preview in Thunderbird" and the file isn't corrupted as I can save to disk and then open in Acrobat.

I tried restarting TB in troubleshoot mode with add-ons disabled, but that did not solve.

I recently transferred to a new Win 11 system. I copied the profiles over and all my address book and settings are working. I have found that my calendars are not. I have three sub-calendars attached to my Home calendar, one was downloaded "USHolidays" and is working, the other two I created and are grayed out. The hover message says they are "momentarily not available." How do I fix this so they appear?

I encountered the following problem while using Thunderbird 140.8.1esr (64-bit): While moving an email from the "Inbox" folder to an archived folder named "2026", I noticed that the archived folder had disappeared! All my searches for a solution have been unsuccessful. Do you have any suggestions? Sincerely.

Bonjour, Les mails n'arrivent plus automatiquement dans ma boite mils et quand ils arrivent ils ne s'ouvrent pas (ou alors 2 jours après...). Message : le certificat pour imap.gmail.com.993 ne provient pas d'une source sûre ! La fenêtre "Ajout d'une exception de sécurité" s'ouvre et rien ne fonctionne si je clique sur "obtenir le certificat" ou "confirmer l'exception de sécurité"....J'ai tout testé sur cette fenêtre...
