Thunderbird, go to the Edit Menu -> Preferences, and from there select the Advanced Tab and the Config Editor. From there, make these two changes:

  • Search intl.locale.matchOS and change the value to true.
  • Search general.useragent.locale and change the value to fr
  • Close and restart Thunderbird.
