On my old iMac when I opened a new tab, the blank screen was white. Now on my new iMac with Firefox 12.0, it's yellow. Since I like to leave a blank tab open so I don't accidentally lose an existing saved site, I'm seeing yellow much of the time. Any way to change the default screen color?

Tried that, with no luck, but thanks, I learned something new. Eureka! I just found it under Preferences -> Content -> Fonts and Colors. (now I'm thinking of choosing a pleasant blue). Thannks, Everyone, for the encouragement..

actually the new tab-page should still be white - probably there is a hickup with hardware acceleration - can you try disabling this feature in firefox > preferences > advanced > general & see if the problem goes away...

Tried that, with no luck, but thanks. I'm wondering if it could have something to do with my using Colorful Tabs??? I get the same yellow on my gmail page, too, though. Weird (and yucky).

You can try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to see if this problem is caused by an add-on.
