A VPN hides your real location and protects your data from data collectors. Typically, when you visit a website, that site’s server can see your IP address (your computer’s location) and usually the connection isn’t secure so data collectors can see what information your computer is sending out. When you use a VPN to connect to the Internet, you use the IP address of one of our encrypted servers instead of your real IP address, and that will throw off data collectors who profile you based on your location. You get to choose any server location from the dropdown menu and you can change it any time. This should not cause interference with the antivirus you are using.
