Thunderbird backups

more options

I use Linux Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and this operating system has an automatic Backup programme included. My Backup Plan copies my Home folder to a separate hard drive. I note that Thunderbird stores my emails in a Profile and that this is stored as a Hidden Folder in the Home Directory. As I am backing up Home, can I safely assume I am automatically also backing up my Thunderbird emails. Or do I have to manually back them up as mentioned in some help articles.

You know what they say about "assume"... Does your backup program have a feature that would allow you to inspect the contents of the backup to see whether it captured Thunderbird folders?
