Several Acciunt names but the same server deails

I used several different account names In Eudora so I could send and receive messages as 'John' or 'Author' or say 'Jim' and they all connected to the same server and server-username. But Thunderbird will not let me use the same server details for more than one account. Is it possible to get over this problem?
