Action button order changes between single and multiple/threaded selection.
Hi, I am now using Thunderbird 38.2 and I have noticed that the buttons for Delete and Archive are in different positions from previous versions.
This is a small but annoying problem as follows : I have a couple of mailing list subs that show as collapsed threads, and sometimes I want to delete the whole thread as I am processing (deleting) other mail. (not time to read everything!) I do this by holding the pointer over the delete button, reading mail subjects, and clicking as I go. The problem is that the buttons jump about depending on whether a single message or multiple messages are highlighted...like a collapsed thread.
Feedback from the click appears OK - the selected item vanishes and the one below becomes selected - but I only find out later there is a bunch of archived stuff that I really wanted deleting.
An alternative would to keep all the buttons in place, but grey out those that don't apply with the current selection.
Or is there a way I can tweak the UI myself ?
Richard.

You can rearrange buttons by right-click in the button area, a Customize-button will pop up. Now you can add remove and rearrange as you like.

Thank you - I have now re-arranged my buttons so that they align no matter what is selected.
