This feature is experimental and is being introduced to the Firefox user base through a progressive rollout. It may not yet be available to all users.
Firefox for Android includes a built-in VPN feature that helps protect your privacy by routing Firefox traffic through a secure proxy server and masking your IP address.
The feature includes a monthly data limit of 50 GB. Firefox will notify you when you are approaching the limit.
Unlike Mozilla VPN, which protects your entire device, the built-in VPN protects only traffic within Firefox on your Android device. It is free to use and does not require a subscription.
To use the feature, sign in with a Mozilla account. If your device is eligible, you’ll see prompts in Firefox to set up VPN.
