I have a new computer and after getting it up and running I've found that my incoming emails from friends that often send part of their mail highlighted in colors now appear to me only in black. I have color enabled in settings. They have said things like, "this sentence is in red" and it only appears black to me. A solution that works would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the opportunity to ask.

Do you have AppMenu/View/Message Body As set to Original HTML, and "Allow content to choose its own colors" checked in AppMenu/Options/Options/Display/Formatting/Colors?

Thanks so much. The solution was changing the setting from Simple HTML to Original HTML. Got the colors back.

>"Allow content to choose its own colors"

That sentence is very deceptive. It implies that it operates on someone ELSES content, ie incoming mail.

There is no indication that it operates on your OWN content. It makes no sense to interpret it as meaning "allow my own content to choose its own colors instead of my own colors chosen above"
