firefox cant remember my last opened web sites

Well , in the general options, theres a place where you can click to save my last opened sites. Even though i have that option enabled, firefox just seems to keep opening google for no reason, its my home page but this is something new. I have this option select for like 6 or 7 years and this never happened until today, is there anything i can do rather than just re-installing firefox ?

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

  • do not clear Browsing History

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
