auto update to 9. and menus are gone and so are all my book marks. folders are all that are showing. restarted computer. That was after I uninstalled and reinstalled 8.0. I want the old interface back. How do I get it back with my bookmarks?

If the menu bar is hidden then press the F10 key or hold down the Alt key to make the menu bar appear.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.
