On the line in my header where my address box is, there is a search engine box. It used to be Google, my favorite. Now it is something different. How to I get Google search engine back in its place?

If you have problems with setting the search bar to Google then try these:

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
