Firefox hanging.
Lately, firefox in hanging constantly when I am just browsing the internet. I thought it might have something to do with flash, but reinstalling flash solves nothing. Every 5 minutes firerox hangs for about 20 seconds, which is extremely annoying. I have resorted to using Chrome for now, but Chrome is just not as good as Firefox (and is just aweful in my humble opinion, plus it loads slower when images are involved.), which is why I would like this matter resolved so that I can use my favorite browser again.

Delete places.sqlite according to the procedure in Fix "The bookmarks and history system will not be functional" error message.
I've got the same issue.. as do many, many others. I deleted places.sqlite in both of my profiles and nothing changed.
Will have to switch browsers until FF gets this issue sorted out.
If the above solution doesn't solve your issue:
- Make also sure you use the latest graphic driver version.
- Then try the procedures in Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems.
Thanks for the reply, but deleting places.sqlite did not resolve the issue. I also tried reinstalling Firefox, disabling all of my plugins and completely wiping my cache/history, but still no luck.
Another thing that I noticed was that some sites refuse to load completely. They will load about half the page and then just stop.
Follow one by one the procedures in Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems until your issue is solved.
