On the bookmarks toolbar why can't I switch from icons and texet to just icons only I've been trying to change this over and over again, and it won't chang even after changing the setting in the customize window. How do I get this fixed?

On the toolbar, when you set bookmarks, I use to have just icons showing after the last two updates for Firefox I no longer can show just icons now I have icons and text showing which I do not want. I've gone in views and selected tool bars than customize and it will not let me change the appearance. I'm hoping you can tell me how to fix this, I've done all that I can and I can not seem to find someone that knows how it fix it. Can you help me with this matter.
