How do I turn off the "Error Console"? It is popping up every second or less. I clicked on "Messages" and that slowed things down a little but it still keeps coming up.

This all started when I mistakenly clicked "Restore Default..." instead of "Done" when I was customizing the toolbars. How do I get the error console to stop coming up??

Thanks!!

I had this problem and it turned out I had 2 mouse gesture add-ons installed and they were conflicting. I removed one of them and the error console stopped popping up.

The Error Console displays every time I start a new window or tab. No errors, a few warnings and lots of info entries. I see no way to turn this off and not symptoms to tell me why this is occurring. This is very bad and will eventually, I am sure, force me to go back to IE which I really do not want to do. I am running Win 7 64bit.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
