1st. issue.

I am registered or I am not. I try to log in and my password/username is rejected as unknown, but when I try to register I am told that I already exist. My original email account was and is dagger9@bellsouth.net. Under that email identity I am having no luck getting on board. I had to devise this other email account to get it. Help.

I have problems and cannot get in for help.

2nd issue.

I downloaded Bearshare and the uninstalled it. However, it hijacked my browser search engine and I cannot get rid of it. Please help me get rid of the Bearshare browser search engine.

Thanks

Do any prefs show up if you type Bearshare in the Filter bar at the top of the about:config page?

If you see bold prefs with Bearshare then right click and reset them to the default value.

I just wanted to note that I tried removing the bearshare reference from about:config as suggested by the previous poster. It just comes back. . .

a work around is type Google.co.uk into the address bar and get google up and then go to options and set this as your home page. It just means you can't use the address bar direct.
