lost bookmarks, unable to restore old or save new ones
Yesterday I lost all my bookmarks, unrelated to any update or computer activity. Attempts to restore them typically restore folder hierarchies only, not the bookmarks. Going back far enough restores some bookmarks, not all. Any, and all the restored bookmarks are also lost again upon restarting.

Incomplete sentence above; I meant to say that any new bookmarks, and all restored bookmarks, are lost when I restart firefox. In addition, when I go to "organize bookmarks" the menu is empty even when I actually have items in the bookmark menu. Thank you!
Some of my bookmarks disappeared and all the new i add goes too, but some of my old bookmarks are still there? :S
