Often, when I close a tab that is still loading or click to a different bookmark while the tab is still loading, Firefox will cause my computer to completely freeze. This has been happening with increasing frequency over the past couple of weeks.

One of your add-ons might be the culprit too. Try running Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox with all add-ons disabled.
