Send tab to device on MagicOS regression

Youcef

Hellos,

I updated Firefox version on Android to 157.0. I saw in the changelog that Firefox now uses the standard Android share screen instead of the custom one we had before.

The issue is that I cannot find the feature to send tabs to my other devices. Which is the one sharing option I often use when I tap on share.

I attached a screenshot of me trying to share a link/tab.

What am I missing here? how can I share with other devices om my Mozilla account?

Regards

Hi

Thank you for raising this. I have flagged this to Mozilla staff to look into further.

Hi Youcef,

I noticed from your screenshot that your phone is searching for devices. What happens when you wait for the search to complete? Do any devices appear?

I'm using a Huawei device, and when I tap Search for devices, a list of available devices appears, which indicate all my synced sessions on multiple devices (see the attached screenshot).

Could you let us know if you're seeing something different?

Hello,

In my case it just keeps searching indefinitely. I made sure I enabled Bluetooth and Location services just in case it shows Firefox connected devices ones the proximity search finishes. Although, these two are not related since Firefox devices are readily available before doing any searches.

It seems this problem might be related to my specific Honor X80 device, or at least my OS version MagicOS 10.0.0.152.

It looks like it's indeed, a device-specific issue. ):
