My computer had corrupt files on it, so my computer guy had to reinstall windows 11 & all my other folders to my computer. I re-installed Thunderbird with the new version 154.0 & all of my old emails are there but NO email addresses or contact addresses I had saved in there. Please help! Can I download an older version of Thunderbird 139.0.2 from June 17, 2025 for all of my email addresses to be there & contact addresses?

Do this: the files you want are abook.sqlite and history.sqlite. Locate your old Thunderbird profile for them from the folders the tech person salvaged. Then do this:

  1. click help>troubleshootinginformation
  2. scroll to 'profile folder' and click 'open folder'
  3. now, exit thunderbird
  4. you are now in the profile. replace the existing abook.sqlite and history.sqlite with the ones from old setup
  5. restart thunderbird and they should be there

How do I find those files from the old setup unless I install it? The only ones I have now on the computer are from this week

Then they are lost. From yourpost, I inferred that the tech person saved existing files prior to the reinstall. My suggestion is to always do backups. I regret your loss. .
