I'm on Mac desktop. I did all that already except for install/uninstall. Do you mean google? By the way, the updated location works on Chrome.

This gets stored in multiple places.

If you open Maps in a new Private Widow, and let it geo–locate you, does it pin your current location correctly?

For search results like "weather", "pizza" or "showtimes" does it use your correct location, or the old one as well?

It can be in session data, search preferences, blocked by device permissions, cached by Google based on your modem/wifi identification etc.
