Firefox web browser switching langauges
My set homepage on Firefox was in English and has now switched to Spanish. Nothing I do will allow me to change to the English version. I have searched using different engines but every time I pick the English version of the MSN news website after clicking on the link it comes up in Spanish.
Oddly, if I pull up the Firefox private browser it comes up as the English version as it shows in my homepage settings. Any idea on what is going on?

Hi Rob, some differences between regular and private windows:
(1) In a private window, Firefox doesn't send the site the cookies it set in regular windows.
Cookies (and local storage entries set by the site) could include language preferences. You could clear the site's cookies in a regular tab using the following method - note that this will sign you out of the site:
While viewing a page on the site, click the lock icon at the left end of the address bar. After a moment, a "Clear Cookies and Site Data" button should appear at the bottom. Go ahead and click that. Firefox will ask you to confirm; go ahead and confirm.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
(2) If you signed in only in the regular tab and not the private window, possibly there is a language preference stored in your account rather than (or in addition to) locally in a cookie.
(3) Some add-ons might be modifying your browsing in regular windows but not in private windows. This is something you control using a checkbox when you install an extension, or on the Add-ons page. See: Extensions in Private Browsing. On the other hand, if only one site is affected, it's difficult to see why an extension would be the culprit.

Sorry, I replied thinking you were talking about Firefox on Windows/Mac/Linux. Is the problem on mobile?
