Submenus not displayed
Hi I use a PC running Windows 10. I created a new email adress using Outlook. All is displayed correctly in Outlook.live (subir inbox, outbox, draft, archive, etc)
Now when I try to add the same account (email adress) in Thunderbird PC (last release), the system found well my data (IMAP, SMTP...), but is unable to display submenus. Only the Inbox appears. The setup is not complete and I have no error. But in Thunderbird I received a notification stating something about the authentication of that new email adress but I have no access to the full notification (when I clic on the notification it disappears).
I deleted this account (data and message) in Thunderbird, closed Thunderbird, and created it again, same result. Only the subdir inbox appears.
In Outlook.live this account works fine, I can send and receive emails.
In Thunderbird I can also send emails but I do not receive them while they are received in Outlook.live. So it seems that there an issue in Thunderbird And I have no opportunity to add the account manually.
Any suggestion to solve this issue ?

Try this: enable IMAP in the web version of the Outlook account under Settings - Emails - Forwarding and IMAP - Let devices and apps use IMAP.
I added several accounts (email address) using the same procedure. But yesterday I create a new account in Outlook that works fine but that is uncomplete in Thunderbird. It is the first one in the attachment. As you see IMAP was selected by default and should work...
See if those folders are subscribed:
- on the main mail screen in the L. column, R. click that account (just above the Inbox) > Subscribe
I selected Subscribe, but the window remains empty... See attachment
Note that just after creation of the account in Thunderbird, the system stated that is has created the account, and it is authenticated but the notification states something more that is not display in full (see below right) : "user is authenticate but no..." what probably explain why the other folders are msising
Go to outlook.com > sign in to your email account.
Go to Settings > Forwarding and IMAP > Let Devices & Apps use IMAP and enable that.
Yes ! It works. At last. And I can receive emails too, hi ! Thanks Ed. For me it is solved.
But why Thunderbird didn't set it automatically this time (as it did for my other email addresses) ?
