My keyboard is often glitching out while I'm in the Firefox browser. This will happen when I'm trying to search on websites or in the search bar.

I've tried a few different keyboards and I've had this problem with Gboard(the one I want to use) and the built-in Samsung keyboard. It seems to work fine for the Microsoft's keyboard but I prefer not to use that one. I've recently updated both of theses apps but the issue persists. The screenshot is what I see when this happens; the area where the keyboard should be is solid black.

If I use the search bar that normally contains the URL, it works but I try to avoid this because using that bar seems to get stuck often on a blank screen(or take a while to load? Not sure what's happening there).

Is there a fix or workaround?

Hi

This seems to be an issue with the Gboard app rather than Firefox for Android. You may wish to considering clearing the app data for Gboard (appreciate it will take it back to "day 1"), but outside of that you may wish to contact the Google Android support team.

I am also facing that similar issue. I tried Google's Gboard & Microsoft 's Swiftkey. Both are frequently disappear when start typing something , especially when commenting during YouTube live video, facebook comment. Even the problem present in Firefox Beta. Gboard, Swiftkey, firefox all are up to date , tried in various handsets like HONOR 90, Moto G5s+, Pixel 9pro. but the issue persist in Firefox. Does not see the problem in Chrome, Opera, Edge with those keyboard. So the issue is in the Firefox browser, not in any keyboard app. I can provide Video proof if Mozilla want. So cooperate & try to fix the bug.
