Thunderbird Mail Sending to Yahoo Email addresses
Have been using Thunderbird for a long time >4 yrs) and only recently when sending emails to Yahoo email addresses they get bounced back with an R8 Authentication Failed Must Login Error 5 message As said no issues before and just stared in past week. Checked and confirmed with my internet provider all my settings are correct so mus be either a Thurnderbird or Yahoo mail issue Any help anyone could provide to help me get this issue fixed would be greatly appreciated

If the error only happens when sending to Yahoo, that would be an indication that Yahoo has tightened its security issues.

appears to be the case but can't figure out or find how to deal with and fix so can email yahoo users
Try posting a screenshot of your SMTP server settings pane; that may generate suggestions
I confirmed with my internet provider my SMTP server settings are correct Connection Security: STARTTLS Authentication Method: Normal Password Server Name: smtp.cogeco.ca Additionally when I send emails to Yahoo email addresses using providers webmail messages are received and also when using my Gmail or Hotmail they also are received by Yahoo users so I have to assume the issue is between Thunderbird mail & Yahoo mail no?
