Zoom way too fast on some websites

Hello, I have a problem with my Logitech MX Master mouse and zooming on images on websites. I had been using Waterfox for a decade or so and the last update destroyed Last Pass which I use many times a day. So I uninstalled it and installed the latest Firefox (as of a few days ago). The problem is that when I open an image on (as far as I can tell) ANY website that allows zooming the zoom is incredibly sensitive and the only was I can get it to behave "normally" is to scroll the wheel a tiny amount, like a mm. I have tried a number of fixes to slow down zooming in the config and none have worked. The ONLY thing that works is going into the Logitech options for Firefox and disabling smooth scroll. This makes scrolling so jerky that I actually get a headache. The one that seems logical is general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel, change the general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMaxMS to 500 and general.smoothScroll.mouseWheel.durationMinMS to 250. Did that and no effect. I've tried ridiculous values like 999 and 1, 999 and 998, or 2 and 1 and there's no change at all. Even changing smoothScroll.mouseWheel to false has no effect. I need to do this hundreds of times a day and it's killing my productivity.

So the only thing I can think of is that the Logitch Unifying Software is incompatible with Firefox and ONLY Firefox. Is there any fix for this that actually works? I will be forced to uninstall it and ditch Lastpass (which is not an option for me, it has to work).
