I've been using Thunderbird for around 15 years.

About 2 or so updates ago, the Quick Filter stopped working at all. With the latest update, it works, maybe, about 1% of the time. I've done a full reinstall to no avail.

How could you screw this up and when are you going to fix it?

Between this and GoDaddy changing my mail server to Outlook & IMAP, my email experience sucks. I'm truly hating it.

the addon is something you need to contact the author about. However it may well be that the addon does not work will with the OWL addon used to connect to exchange servers if you are using it.

The Quick Filter is part of Thunderbird. It's not an add-on. It's in the main menu bar.

I read quick filters See https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/quickfilters/?src=search

Otherwise follow these instructions as the quick search used the global database. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/rebuilding-global-database

See my comment on a related(?) bug for a possible workaround.
