Since over a week now, I am facing this problem. The file location selection dialog box won't open up when either downloading or uploading any file. I have tried : 1. reset my Firefox, 2. opening in Safe Mode, 3. clear all history along with cache and cookies.

Nothing seems to work I cannot re-install Firefox because of not having admin access (can't even remove)

Hi,

Have a look at the Options[gear]->General[gear]->Files and Applications section. Try enabling the Downloads option called "Always ask you where to save files".
