In Firefox for Android, I was able to tap the Android icon in the URL bar to open a website in its corresponding native app. E.g. YouTube links in the Youtube app, Twitter links in the Twitter app.

It's already been implemented in two ways. 1. Highlight the URL bar, it should provide an option to "open in app" 2. Swipe up the drawer above the URL bar and click the "open in app" button

prashcr answer is correct. Are you using an up to date version of Firefox Preview? Current version is 1.4 and 2.0 is out soon.
