I have this add-on on another computer and it works great but they say that neither "unselect message or "deselect on delete" are compatible with 60.0 . I hate my email opening automatically when I delete one.

You could try the advice offered here:

IMPORTANT: Add-ons not marked as compatible with Thunderbird 60 by their authors will be disabled (this can be reverted via preference extensions.strictCompatibility)

Maybe it will continue to work. 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Advanced' > 'General' tab click on 'Config Editor' button In top search type: s.strict look for this line: extensions.strictCompatibility double click on line to toggle 'false' to 'True' close window - top right x click on 'OK'

Restart Thunderbird.

All addons are the responsibility of the author to keep updated with current Thunderbird.

Looking at the link to the authors Support Site, someone has asked if addon will be updated, but no reponse as yet. https://bitbucket.org/squib/deselect-on-delete/issues/14/will-not-work-after-tb-60
