The only way to hope to get a long download (hours) to complete, is to close Firefox and don't open it, use it, or run it, while download in progress in neighboring browser. How to stop this behavior?

Hi, you could be using any other Browser also they would all interfere. Bandwidth is split between everything that uses it. If want to watch youtube do not download. Save your downloading for the times when reading or walking away for awhile or late at night. Suggest get a IDM, 11 to choose from.
