The default firefox fast dial it is just available when you open a new tab, I would like to make the fast dial my homepage, I think this is not so hard to make.

Hello, head on over to about:preferences#general by typing it in your URL bar, under the option to set your homepage, put about:newtab, this will make the new tab page your homepage.
