How do I sync bookmarks from Firefox on my MacBook to the new Firefox iOS app?

As the question states, I haven't figured out any easy way to do it yet. I've signed in and synced up, but none of my bookmarks appear. Way too many to go back and manually add, how can we fix this?

I have same/similar issue. How do you import bookmarks from Safari? I exported the file from Safari to an html file but no import tool in Firefox.
