You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Another way to remove Facebook cookies that might be a bit faster is to use the Page Info dialog. While viewing a page on the site, try either:

  • right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
  • (menu bar) Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.

Then try reloading the page and logging in again.

Note: clearing old cached files would still be the first thing to try.

Well, I did all of that. The interesting thing is that I can see some of the things on my facebook home page but not the most recent ones. On group pages and my personal page I can see everything....It is weird.

Oh, and this is only when using firefox. It works perfectly with either IE or chrome...I can see everything on facebook.

What exactly is blocked?

You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and check on the Network tab if any content is blocked and has a file size 0 (zero).
