  • tap on the account name (your email address)
  • press your phone's menu button or the three dot button in the upper right and select remove account

This solution does not work for me. When I click my email address in the sync settings section, nothing happens.

This may vary based on the device. Try pressing your phone's menu button when in the screen that shows the email address. What device and what version of Android?

Sorry, I really should have included that information. I am using a Galaxy S4 -- the SGH-I337 -- that is running the stock Samsung variant of Android 4.4.2.

I did try pressing the menu button. Nothing happens doing it that way either. I ended up clearing Firefox app data in order to reset the Sync account.
