Whenever i send a Tab from any Device to a Linux Desktop, the Linux Desktop is almost guaranteed to freeze. It doesn’t matter if that Linux Desktop is my "Dingus" PC with 2GB RAM and Wayland, or my "Workstation" PC with 16GB RAM and X11. On both Desktops, Firefox runs smoothly until it gets sent a Tab from another Device, then the whole Linux Desktop freezes. The Desktop doesn’t slow if i open the Tab on the Desktop in the “Tabs from other Devices” Sidebar instead.

Only my Linux Desktops freeze when they get sent a Tab from another Device. Android doesn’t slow when my Phone gets sent a Tab from another Device.

I have issues with firefox sync as it doesn't sync old search history. Firefox Sync works perfectly for recent search history and chronic, but I imported an old profile (xyz.default) to firefox and logged in with my mozilla account. Started synching so that the old profile's history gets merged with the current one. It doesn't. I can see it in the imported old profile, but if I check history on another device, it's not there (aka only locally but not synced yet).

Is it generally possible to add an existing profile and then syncing it to merge it with the current search history one?

For years, I've been using FF on desktop (Linux), tablet (Android) and phone (Android - Samsung S24+). Sync has never been a problem until two weeks ago when FF on the phone has either refused to sync when I tapped the command, or hasn't synced for many hours or sometimes days (which is why I tried to do it manually). So, I signed out of my FF account on all 3 devices and then signed back in. The desktop computer and tablet are syncing normally, but the phone still won't sync. When I tap the 3-dot menu on the phone and then my name, it says the phone has NEVER been synced and tapping the sync command does nothing. Under "Choose what to sync", all options are checked, but greyed out. Can't change them, in other words. When I access bookmarks on the phone, it properly shows what was there before the last sync. The phone is running FF version 150.0 Build 2016155439

Read several different instructions on Chatgpt that takes you down a never-ending rabbit hole. Firefox is restoring previously closed tabs from days or weeks earlier without user input during active use while typing in the middle of the keyboard with an activated red stylus mouse - used frequently and/or with an external mouse. The thumb pad is turned off. There are no shift, windows, 7 strokes. Upon restart of the computer, the Firefox settings are set to restore only active tabs open from previous session. This is a Lenovo T16 Thinkpad product no. 21HH003yus. The issue appears to be related to session restore corruption, possibly triggered by very large tab volumes (hundreds of tabs). Windows 11 that tabs reopen during active typing (not startup) hundreds of tabs open whether Firefox Sync is enabled ???? whether crashes/freezes occur - no whether the same old tabs repeatedly resurrect - no, but there are so many of them from weeks and months ago. whether you use session/tab extensions  ??? Believe recent version of Firefox or close.

I used to be synced across two laptops and my iphone but no longer. I am signed in to my Firefox account on my Windows 10 laptop and on my iphone. The windows 10 laptop indicates that I am also signed in on my Windows 11 laptop, but when I run Firefox on my Windows 11 laptop, it indicates that I am signed out. When I attempt to sign in (on the Windows 11 machine), I get an "unexpected error" flag and I cannot sign in.

How can I fix this?

After the most recent update, my desktop version of Firefox keeps disconnection Sync so my passwords disappear. I also have an iPhone Firefox app doing Sync. The passwords reappear when I reconnect Sync on the workstation, but I want the desktop workstation to be the master and the passwords to always be available. How do fix it?

When I'm trying to login to Sync my Firefox account, I'm getting a cors error after putting in my email address and clicking the sign in button. This is on a new profile with no extensions installed on 150.0

Im trying to sync my android to existing account on PC. Phone says my firefox login incorrect yet when I go to firefox settings , it shows my name and password that I used to try to log in with phone. I then tried the scan option, but when I phone up to pc screen to QR code, it just sits there. SO I think ill just change my password. I go to password change section and it sends me the code via email. I input the code and brings me to change password screen yet when i try to change it, it states the prepopulated old password is incorrect. I am logged into PC with this info so how is it incorrect?

У меня всё было хорошо, и ранее с телефона всегда были доступны синхронизированные вкладки, которые открыты в браузере на ПК, однако недавно мне понадобилось разлогиниться на телефоне, потом я снова залогинилась, и с тех пор у меня возникла с ними проблема. Вкладки просто пропадают сами по себе спустя время. Чтобы они снова появились, мне нужно оказаться у своего домашнего компьютера и открыть Firefox, и осуществить синхронизацию (если она не успела произойти автоматически). Тогда какое-то время эти вкладки появляются в Firefox на моём телефоне с Android,.. а спустя время снова пропадают. Это очень неудобно, потому что я не могу, находясь на работе или в поездке, комфортно воспользоваться вкладкой, использованной на домашнем компьютере. Раньше эти вкладки были доступны всегда, и я всегда была спокойна и уверена, что могу к ним обратиться. Что делать? Помогите, пожалуйста. Прикрепляю скриншот, где видно, что вкладок нет (к сожалению, сейчас не могу сделать скриншот, где они есть, поскольку в данный момент времени я нахожусь на работе).

I am trying to use Firefox passwords on on Windows 11 and iPhone via Sync but password changes made in Windows 11 do not sync to the iPhone unless the sync is triggered manually from within the Firefox for iOS app. Password changes do not sync automatically.

Windows 11 v149.0.2 Firefox for iOS v 150.0

I've exported my bookmarks as an HTML file on my old computer (Win 11 Firefox ver 149.0.2) using a USB drive and tried to upload the file to my new computer (Win 11 Firefox Ver 149.0.2.). Only a few dozen of hundreds of bookmarks transferred. Repeated tries simply add the same bookmarks to the menu.

I've tried sync. Both computers are signed in and are correctly listed in the connected services box. Syncing is ON and when I select the Sync Now button on either computer screen, the Sync Now switches very briefly to Syncing and then back to Sync Now. Sync has transferred no data from my old computer to my new computer.

Any ideas are welcomed. Thanks, Jagwriter
