Created new yahoo mail IMAP (PKCE) account using Thunderbird account creation. All seemed to work well. However, new account does not receive mail from "some" other IMAP and POP accounts in testing, including from TB Pro. Strangely, mail sent from oldest POP accounts works. Mail from newer POP gmail and TBPro accounts is not received. TB 149.0b1 Windows 11

Since the up date my yahoo and AOL account want me to enter the password. When i do it is not accepted. It is correct since i tried it on a friends computer. I tried to use forgot password and it says I should enable java script and turn off ad blockers. I cannot do this in Firefox nor do I think it will help.

I have successfully added my primary Google Workspace email address, authenticating through OAuth 2.0. I'm adding a second user, but even though I sign in using the Google popup, OAuth isn't listed as an Authentication method under Server Settings, and no email is downloaded.

I received an email on 02/25/2026 that was a egift card from a local small business. The egift card was from with Square account. When I went back into my inbox the next day to use the egift card, the email was gone. I looked in all my folders and didn't see it anywhere. How can an email just disappear? When I contacted the small business, they said they can't honor the egift card without the 16 digit # on the egift card. I showed them the receipt for the purchase but it doesn't not show the 16 digit code for the ecard, only shows the purchase of a gift card. So how do I find this email with the egift card?

this was the email address from the purchase invoice. noreply@messaging.squareup.com

I don't recall the actual email address the egift card was from other than I saw it was from a Square account.

Hello, For many years I have used Thunderbird, but since update to v148, I have recieved an "Authentication failure while connecting to server imap.aol.com" + "connection to server pop.gmail.com timed out". All the passwords, imap in & out settings are correct, the antivirus/firewall is not blocking. The AOL page pops up for access but does not accept the passwords. I have as of now lost all my emails. I appreciate the security improvements which, sadly, are necessary, but will there be an update to correct this soon.

Since an update to 148.0 Thunderbird no longer retains the log in details for my various google calendars. Every morning I get a blank diary and need to delete all the calendar details then renew them by adding them in again. It's never done it before (over many years!) so what's going on?

I am trying to set up a visualization of the columns of the main interface. Here's what I do:

  1. Click on the list icon in the top right corner.
  2. Uncheck the columns I want to hide. Specifically, From (CB), Recipient (CB), and Correspondents (CB).
  3. Apply the selection to all folders: click on the icon in the top right corner, apply columns to.. > folders and its children... > select account > Confirm

These actions produce immediate results. However, the next day or a few days later, when I reopen the program, the column display changes. Sometimes in the main folder (inbox), sometimes in the subfolders.

Is this a known bug? Is there anything I can do to keep the desired column configuration stable?

So I have a couple of accounts that do this and not on others (Same domain and server) When the messages come through they are doubled like they are on a thread, but the same exact message. All settings in Thunderbird and the server email config are the same for all addresses,. I have three out of ten that do this for some odd reason.

I have an email account and a web hosting with a reliable service. I have noticed that from time to time some of my thunderbird emails transfer automatically to my website and appear in the 'posts' pages as 'pending'. The site admin email is different from my email address so in theory this should not be happening any suggestions?

I followed suggestions on here, did the repair, erased password and replaced it, did the subscribe, and now even the folder is gone. I spent hours trying to research this and repair it and now I have nothing.

Connection to pop.mail.yahoo.com times out and no emails are downloaded. A new windows appears from https://login.yahoo.com/ that I have never seen before asking for username and password but this returns a "something went wrong" error. Is there an update, or a setting change, that resolves this problem?

I forwarded an email from a different email client to my Thunderbird email client and when I opened that email the left margin was gone. I tried selecting the text and clicking on the right index and nothing happened.

This type thing has happened before when I forward something that comes to my TB account, but usually highlighting the text I add, and clicking on the right index, will move it over a bit.

I would like to know why this is happening, and if I can prevent it or solve it when it does. It looks so unprofessional and sloppy when there is no left margin.

Hi there! After transferring Thunderbird from my old to my new computer, the calender does not show any appointment. Even it I set a new one this is not shown. I have been experiencing a strange issue with Thunderbird for the last three months, and it’s quite frustrating.

I use an IMAP/SMTP SSL setup (ports 993/465) with a local server that includes webmail but also supports IMAP and SMTP for email client management. Over the past three years, we never encountered any issues, but since upgrading Thunderbird, this problem has started occurring.

As you can see in the GIF, messages appear and disappear when I switch to another folder and then return. This affects not only the message counter but also the actual messages themselves. At first, I thought it might be an indexing issue, so I tried deleting the *.msf files and the global-messages-db.sqlite file within the account profile, but the result was always the same. I also increased the frequency of checking for new messages to every 10 minutes and changed the maximum number of server connections to cache from 1 to 20, but nothing changed.

No issues with webmail and with other email client.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions?
