When my message filter uses the "Reply with Template" action, the reply e-mail is always PGP encrypted, even when I do not have any public key for the recipient e-mail address. As a result, the reply e-mail is always corrupted.

I am using Thunderbird 140.7.1esr on Windows 10.

I have attached a screenshot of what the reply e-mail always looks like.

In the Template that I am using, the "encrypt" button is not selected, and in the OpenPGP menu of the Template, the "Encrypt" menu item does not have a checkmark next to it.

Does anyone know how I can get Thunderbird to send reply e-mails without using encryption?

I really have given up on Thunderbird, even though I have been a loyal supporter of the product for many years.

For the last year I have had to bypass Thunderbird and read my emails either on my mobile or directly from the BT server, which is how I am writing this mail.

My problem is , although I can view my mail perfectly on my mobile and of course on the BT server, Thunderbird seems totally incapable of transferring the mail to the Thunderbird inbox.

Thunderbird is not able to show the text and any images, all I get is a mail with a number of boxes, no pictures or anything of any use.

Is this since a Thunderbird 'update' or what, I don't know.

A little while ago I posted this problem and only got one reply from an 'expert'/community which failed to solve problem in any way.

In Advanced Preferences there are multiple mail servers listed such as "mail.server.server18.hostname". There are at least 18. I have not been able to download messages for 3 weeks and can't figure out why. I have used Thunderbird for many years. Sending email works. Email provider is Shaw/Rogers

Why did retrieving messages suddenly stop. It was working yesterday and I made no changes to anything. I can send successfully. I am using Shaw/Rogers Pop server.

Why does "test connection to server" fail?

On my PC Thunderbirds sending/receiving mail says the mail server refused my connection. My laptop works fine. I have duplicated my laptops in/out specifications onto the PC but still nothing works. Spectrum says everything on their end is fine but can't vouch for roadrunner who is the rr in my mail address of ca.rr.com. All this started about 4 days ago. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks.

Is there a document somewhere that gives the meanings/explanations of all the choices when selecting settings for a Thunderbird account ? When I go through the settings there are many choices that I do not know what they mean, and finding each separately could take hours ...

I am having a major issue with Thunderbird not saving Outgoing emails in Send Folder with IMAP setting.

Having three mailboxes two are set to IMAP and the third set to POP3. The IMAP outgoing mail creates an alert that mail was sent but copy not placed in your Sent folder due to network of file access errors.

Outgoing mail in POP3 save immediately to the Sent folder.

I am using the latest Thunderbird update:

• Server Type: IMAP Mail Server
• Server Name: IMAP.kinect.co.nz
• Connect Security: SSL/TLS
• Authentication Method: Normal Password

Outgoing Server [SMTP] Settings:

• Description - User name
• Server Name: smtp.kinect.co.nz
• Port: 465
• Connection security: SSL/TLS
• Authentication method: No authentication

Note: Authentication was changed form Normal Password in order to gain some traction on the issue during trouble, cause and correction actions.

Addendum: The PC was fitted to Starlink https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starlink in preparation for use as sole source for internet connection. That was abandoned due to email issues.

Hi, Lately I've been experiencing problems with Thunderbird (115.5.1 - 64bit). I have to shut down some apps and sometimes restart the computer in order to be able to get and send messages on my google account. Also, I can't get to the yahoo account and I get a new window to enter my username and password for yahoo but when I enter them, I get a "Something went wrong" notification and suggestion to try from a diffrent device. Everything was allways fine. What went wrong lately?

Thunderbird has a routine problem with being unable to log into various mail servers. I have four accounts and they all seem to share this problem.

Most recent update: I've tested this in Windows Safe Mode, and the problem has not appeared. Since I can't do any useful work in Safe Mode, it's hard to give it a thorough test, but so far so good. Also, I have removed AVG antivirus because it was redundant. I have seen no improvement since it was removed.

Can this problem be resolved?

Hi Team My Thunderbird account has a font corruption. Whenever I open a new message, The font appears as a weird shadowy type - See image attached. The signature is saved image. I can't set a Tahoma or Verdana or any from the overall font list as the base font. However, when I send the email, the recipient sees a normal tahoma font. Help!

I posted this question some time back but didn't receive any helpful answers and don't know where my post is. In the upper right-hand corner there is suppose to be 3 symbols. One to lower the app, one to make the app full screen or partial and one with an X. I have jumbled symbols where the 3 good ones are. It does it in trouble shoot mode. I tried disabling addons but I can't get the normal symbols back. Here's what it looks like... Thank you for any help.

In the upper right hand corner there should be a minus sign, restore/down sign and an X. Instead of these I have what looks like an X in a box. It appears to be fixed when I run in Trouble mode. Even the default theme shows it wrong. This just began happening. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

I had an account gmail in thunderbird I lost it because I had to change the password and did not find to change it in thunderbird. I want to add this account in thinderbird but did not succeed. Can you tell me all what to do, I had always a window of Google that open but I do not understand what to do with it.
