I'm a retired Desktop Support tech more familiar with Outlook, still very new to Thunderbird. I enjoy supporting family & friends and often email urls for various reasons. What setting do I need to tweak in Thunderbird to get long urls that I paste into emails to send to wrap within the composed email?

I downloaded Thunderbird to my new machine, followed instructions to copy the Profile Folder from the old machine and pasted to the new machine. I didn't get a message asking whether I wanted to replace the data on the new machine. When I started Thunderbird, I am not seeing all the data I expected - no address book, only 200+ emails, no sent emails. What did I do wrong?

Hi there. I'm looking for a shortcut that takes me from the folderlist pane to the message pane and the first new message, when I'm on the inbox folder. The tab is not good. It moves between to many fields/options.

Hi, What is the "@?" for Thunderbird? For gmail it's @gmail.com for hotmail it's "@hotmail.com. Eventually I want to rid myself of gmail. Thanks

I noticed that when replying to messages that have a reply-to header, my own message is not included in the thread with the first message. There is, however, a small "reply" icon next to the email in the list. Is there a setting I need to toggle, or should I report a bug?

I have Earthlink for my email. Thunderbird has been working for years by displaying my emails from Earthlink. Today, I have not received any new emails even though I see them on my Earthlink account.

I am running Linux Mint and Thunderbird 140.9.0esr (64-bit). When I try to setup my Comcast email account I get errors and the program basically stops. For example "can't access property "cleanup", this [#configVerifier] is undefined". When I allow Thunderbird to do the initial search and follow its recommendation I get this error: Error creating account Incoming server already exists

I have Tbird running on two other computers THAT HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF. I noted that if I tried setting up Tbird on my newest Mint installation, i.e., Tbird running on my Windows machine, it would also fail to make the account.

I am at a loss as to what is going on. Any ideas???

A "send later" button came up one morning instead of the usual "send" button. When I clicked on the write button to see where the "send" button was, several choices came up but when I clicked on the "write" choice I lost the other choices and now can't get back to the original write button and still no "send" button appears anywhere on the menu. I can save messages to Draft but still can't actually send them. I can still receive emails, just can't send them! Help!

Knowing that an email message should be kept below the size of 25MB, I was trying to make my attachments smaller than that. Yet when I was sending a message with no text and 1 attachment the size of 21.5MB, I got a warning that I was trying to send a message the size of 29.4MB. Where does this come from?

Thunderbird lädt keine neuen Mails mehr vom pop3 Postfach herunter, aber ständig alte. Beim versuch das Konto neu einzurichten kann Thunderbird keine Einstellungen finden, obwohl die Einstellungen stimmen. Auf dem Handy (Android) werden die Mails einwandfrei heruntergeladen.

Hi, Thunderbird updated this morning, and now I cannot access my email. I've rebooted, confirmed my server settings, and it has not fixed it.

I get a pop up message from Thunderbird stating the the connection to server pop.earthlink.net was reset. I have to reboot my PC to be able to download emails. Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks.

Hello everyone, I manage 2 email adresses on thunderbird from a specific domain xx@xxxx.com. When i send an email from these adresses, even I have tried different settings to record, it fails. So, my last setting is the original one suggested by the app... but nothing => see image Any idea ? or do you know another way ?

had the need to start a fresh thunderbird profile.

now I forget which setting(s) allow for thunderbird to scan the local folders, NOT the internet, for new mail.

any suggestions?
