I am new to Firefox browsing and I just installed it on my phone. I use accessibility. I was wondering if this would reach Firefox and if they could add listen to this page on the the browser

Hello! I appreciate many niceties of the 148 update, but i'm having an issue resulting in many more tabs on Android mobile than I usually generate. When I search something and then want to sesrch the same query again using a different search engine (by selecting a different search engine from the tab bar menu) a new tab opens, leaving the query via the previous search engine open, and the current query of the current search engine in a new tab with focus. I'm aware that this behavior can be modified on desktop, but there is no such setting for android.

I would really love for this behavior to be reverted or optional, as it's made it so I need to clear out many tabs of duplicate queries (on different sesrch engines) and it makes me avoid using the built-in search engine switcher to prevent generating more tabs :( (which sucks because I have like 10+ custom searches and they're very useful!)

While not being used (phone off and charging at night) Firefox used up around 6GB of data and I have no idea why.

There were three tabs open at the time, two had been open for several days without issue, I think this was the other one.

I noticed this when staying somewhere with a flaky WiFi connection, as I got a warning about mobile data use, so it's entirely possible it isn't the first time.

Phone running Android 11.

On android phones, you can disable the gesture hint (white bar at bottom of screen). Other apps I have tried while having it disabled have no issue. With Firefox however... when gesture hint is off and i swipe up from the bar, my finger is technically swiping at the address bar, which (aside of sending me to home - because that's what the up gesture does on the bottom) opens the tab switcher.

just let me know how i can get things in order. i am not an expert in these fields, for years you have been good and, fairly, simple. now it is all a pain in the neck!! how do i correct this?

Hi! I´m a big shortcut user and a year-long Firefox fan and user. Now it´s the first time I´m using an Android tablet (Boox Tab X C) and the typical shortcuts for new tab (Ctrl + T), close tab (Ctrl + W), etc. do not work. I researched this a little and it seems to be by design. Why do you forsake us, Firefox god??

I have exported my bookmarks from Brave, which are in HTML format. I cannot find where you can import them into Firefox, I am using the Android version.

I would also like to know where the private window is so I can use YouTube.

I was using Firerox Beta on Android and yesterday or for the last couple days my Firerox account would keep getting logged out as in I'd have to sign in again and again to sync or send tabs to other devices. (It would repeatedly say sign in again to sync even after I sign in repeatedly).

I uninstalled Firefox Beta and installed Firefox stable on Android. No such issue so far.

TyDraniu, Thanks for your reply, but I should have clarified that I meant will Firefox on an Amazon Fire Tablet get a vpn? I read that Mozilla no longer supports Fire tablets. Thank you

Disconnect from home network repeatedly during the day. Have reinstalled, always on activated and allow in background. Nothing works. On my personal computer it never disconnect s

on Android if I go to facebook in Desktop mode, the whole screen is translucent white and i can't press anything. switching to mobile mode no issue.

I don't have any Extension enabled, and i turned off Enhanced Tracking Protection but it didn't change anything.
