I can't check this block on this page (Email me when someone answers the thread). If there is criteria for checking the block, why don't you post the criteria?

When I brought Firefox up about a week ago, it presented me with a survey, results of which were sent to Firefox developers. They asked several multiple choice questions about features, but they didn't ask a very important question: Would you use Firefox more if it used less system memory? I currently use Google Chrome for about 2/3 of my web browsing because Firefox uses up too much system memory. I would prefer to use Firefox most of the time, but can't, since it bogs down when memory usage gets too high.

The survey should have included a text input box so users could enter any comments for the developers, and the survey did NOT do that.

So, after completing the survey, I was disappointed that I couldn't comment on the most important issue I have with Firefox. I would like the Firefox dev team to try get Firefox's use of system memory down. A short while ago, I opened 4 websites in Google Chrome, then opened the exact same 4 websites in Firefox. The attached shows the memory usage of each browser.

Has anyone investigated Rotate Youtube Video (+ Zoom / Mirror) source code?

I see that this addon called Rotate Youtube Video (+ Zoom / Mirror) is restricted for violating Mozilla policies.

Has anyone taken look into it what was exact violation? I am curious if it was stealing info on background? It just says it violated policies but I want to know if it is safe to keep using it? Like if it was disabled for legal reasons then I would not care but if it was disabled for containing malware then I would care. Any ideas?

Don't know if it's the latest Firefox or latest Windows 10 update or what but since the last Windows update happened I cannot open Firefox. I get the message "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." Task Manager shows 4 firefox processes including 1 crashhelper and 3 firefox approximately 70 mb, 4 mb, and 32 mb. I tried to disable the SkeletonUI by editing omni.ja but that didn't help. I tried uninstalling and that didn't help. I tried the refresh option first but ran into the same open process error so that wasn't an option. I am quite stumped. Any advice appreciated. The lock file shows up as SkeletonUILock-c388d246 in appdata/Local/Mozilla/Firefox and it disappears when Firefox is manually booted from Task Manager. It can't be examined when it's extant since it's in use by the Firefox process (presumably)

Since a few weeks I have been encountering an issue where tabs in Firefox would frequently crash. I do have various add-ons installed, however I haven't installed any new ones around the time the issue has been occurring. I've been unable to track down which add-on or if any add-on might be causing this.

Trying to search for this issue all I could come up with is that it might be an issue of a faulty CPU. I have an i9-13900KF which has been known to be part of the Intel generation with serious flaws. However I already installed a BIOS update and applied Intel's recommended settings to undervolt the CPU to prevent any issues. This was well before the Firefox tab crashing issue happened. So I'm not sure if it can really be the issue of a faulty CPU, but I've also had issues of other programs randomly crashing recently (like Discord or Steam).

The tab crash can occur on any website, for example Youtube, Duckduckgo, Protonmail, etc. The crash reason always is either "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ" or just "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION". The crash also most of the time (but not always) occurs when loading the page itself or a video / live stream on it. But not when browsing an already loaded page (for example this forum post page I'm writing right now).

Here are some of the crash reports I've submitted:

EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ: https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/60309ae8-8cad-43ac-8b9b-172b10250815 https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/fecef0ab-d874-4cb5-990b-e49650250815

Rather rare "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION": https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/index/114b26fa-4e10-442c-bbd5-406630250812

Could someone help me narrow down this issue? Can it really be a faulty CPU and I need to trade mine in?

I have recently installed the containers extension and have been having a bit of trouble with one site (the others are fine), which seems to originate from the manner in which the site is structured. As it references new pages, they are often in a different URL. For example, you start in login.site.com, which then tries to load dashboard.site.com, but it fails authentication on dashboard.site.com because it opens in a different container. Which then tries to open the login.site.com page again, which displays the login page, but showing it tying to complete the original authentication. I have tried to add each step along the way, but without success. Is there a way to overcome this?
