With previous versions of firefox when I "reload all tabs" it would reload all the tabs, but now will only reload the first tab?

With older versions of firefox when I reload all tabs they would all reload consecuatively, but now only the first tab will reload, then all other tabs say they are going to but wont do so until I move over to the tab in question. I don't want this, I am needing the tabs to go automatically to the next once reloaded. Is there a way to sort this?

Check your Option--Privacy&Security--History--defaults as I see the new release has certain fields check-marked and if so will clear those that are checked.

I appreciate your response but this doesn't help any way in the slightest.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Do you mean when you restore previous session windows and tabs, only the active tab in each window is loaded and the other tabs wait until you activate them? This is called restore "on demand" and you can switch it off if you like. Depending on the number of tabs, this can involve a long wait and heavy memory use, so bear that in mind.

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste demand and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.sessionstore.restore_on_demand preference to switch the value from true to false
