Receiving emails but can not send out on my Thunderbird account
Please contact me on my Thunderbird email account or ph#xxxxxxxxxx. Error message when trying to send out emails. Do I need an update to fix this problem?

what is the error message? what email provider?
In an effort to save time. There have been a lot of reports from Road Runner users that have not updated their connection settings to the TWC ones they now need to use. Is that you as well.
We use Cox Cable & they told me that Thunderbird might not be supporting or being an updated version. My settings are correct keeps saying SMTP does not accept authenticated settings & this is NOT set for that. Everything is just like it has been for years. We get incoming email but will not send out. What to do??
Please add the Mail and News Accounts information from the "troubleshooting information" to your post. My guess is you have an old setting and after years cox have turned the optiob you are using off. But lets see.
To find the Troubleshooting information:
- Open Help (or click on three-line-icon and select Help)
- Choose Troubleshooting Information
- Use the button Copy to clipboard to select all. Do not check box "Include account names"!
- Paste this in your post.
Note that Thunderbird is as alive and well as it ever was. Perhaps the quality of the technical advice you get from Cox can be measured against their accuracy about Thunderbird current status.
