I am having trouble with images loading on firefox. At first I tried to clear cookies and cache. When that didn't work I went to the content menu in the options to check on that. But then I saw that "enable images automatically" and "enable javascript" are both missing. I have tried to re-install firefox as well but that did not work. I am using the latest edition of firefox.

You can also have a look at the following add-on. It appears to add some check-box items back to the options panels where they were originally shown in Firefox instead of having to add icons to your toolbar as in QuickJava add-on.

The "enable images automatically" and "enable javascript" check boxes were removed in Firefox 23. If you really want a feature like that, take a look at this extension.

Quick Java allows quick enable and disable of Java, Javascript, Cookies, Image Animations, Flash, Silverlight, Images, Stylesheets and Proxy from the Statusbar and/or Toolbar.

As far as your support issue ....
Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.
A troubleshooting mode, which disables most Add-ons.
Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Firefox SafeMode

  • You can open the Firefox 15.0+ SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
  • Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.

To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut (without the Shft key) to open it again.

If it is good in the Firefox SafeMode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one.

Or it might be caused by Hardware Acceleration.

When you figure out what is causing that, please let us know. It might help other user's who have that problem.
