In Firefox, Favorites are called Bookmarks. If you check the Bookmarks menu or the Booksmarks sidebar (Ctrl+b to open and close the Bookmarks sidebar), can you find your IE Favorites listed there?

In case I misunderstood and you want to use your live/current IE Favorites in Firefox, rather than a one-time copy, then you can try this add-on: PlainOldFavorites :: Add-ons for Firefox. (I haven't tried it myself.)

Hi: just not familiar with Firefox. maybe didn't explain myself b4. I want to export from IE9 Favorites List which include "Add to Favorites" Add to Fav. Bar, Add current tabs to favorites and Organize Favorites.

wehn I click on Firefox on top left hand corner on the right hand pane it shows Bookmarks and under it should be the Favorites with all the above included. But it doesn't show. If I put cursor on "Bookmarks" it give me another pane and in it shows: "From Internet Explorer" all my favorties are listed OK but not the items I mention in above paragraph. that is what I am trying to get from IE.

I hope that clarifies what I am trying to do. I will see if your links help and let you know in meantime.

I've com to the conclusion that this problem is MS Vista the OS, I didn't have this with my wife's Laptop which has windows 7 as OS ....worked fine there as I stated above previously. I tried exporting from IE to HTML and then importing it back into Firefox and all I get is the same thing. Now I have to try and undo all of that mess. It gets worse before it gets better, for sure...

With respect to these specific items --

OK! ty jscher, I read article, IMHO, I think Firefox took a simple task and made it into a project. But that is only my opinion and takes some getting used to :) I've been around a long time and have plenty time I suppose. I really appreciate your helping me and want to wish you and family a very HAPPY NEW YEAR with many more to come. Again thank you for your time and help, it has solved my problem
