Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

  • You can inspect and manage all permissions on the about:permissions page, via the location bar.
  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
  • Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).

If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Make sure that you do not block third-party images permissions.default.images

Hi,

Please try a Ctrl + F5 refresh when on the page. This bypasses the Firefox cache and loads the page afresh.

That was a great suggestion, it showed me that whether I come straight from the web or thru the cache I only get the framework for the page and not the complete details of the page. Good alignment, background that kind of stuff. I get text, not always in the right place, but not the images and colors and buttons. I have completely removed Firefox 3X and then reinstalled. By doing R&R I should have a clean copy and no problems.m What am I missing?

Opera works great and I would prefer to be using Firefox, Help!

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"

That is good information, upon checking my system is using the settings you indicated already.

Thanks for the input, looks like I need to expand my area of people for help.

If possible please try a clean re-installation. Also, can you please post a link or two of the affected sites?
