Firefox Proxy Server Problems
Last week I had many viruses on my computer so it screwed a lot of stuff on my PC up, I finally got rid of them, but now whenever I start up Firefox it says "Proxy not found", it has never said that before, and every time I start it up I have to go into Network Options and tell it to auto-detect the Proxy.
I've never had this problem before, how do I fix it?

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy"
See "Firefox connection settings":
I do that, but that doesn't stay the chosen option, every time I sign in, even if I turn it off before, it still says there's no proxy found.

That setting can also be changed by an extension.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
When I did Safe Mode it opened 2 tabs, the first one with a website called Safe, the second called Mode. But there were no Proxy problems. I disabled some suspicious Extensions to FireFox, but in regular startup, I still have Proxy problems.
You should place a hyphen between safe and mode (-safe-mode) and a space to separate the -safe-mode switch from the Firefox path
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
