Firefox + Flash + nbc (some shows) and cbs (all shows) slow

Flash is running slow when watching some shows on nbc and all shows on cbs in Firefox 3.5.8. I am running Firefox 3.5.8 because Firefox 3.5.10 will not install correctly on my system. Have noscript and adsblock installed. Have tried to disable both and still the same problem. adblock has to be disabled for cbs. Why is it that some shows work without any slow downs like Persons Unknown but Last Comic standing is slow?

Is there something that can be configured in Firefox to make flash work faster?

Firefox broke flash since version 3.0.

Here is a solution. In flash, uncheck the hardware acceleration option. This will get you some speed but not much.

You should switch to Opera, Chrome or Safari. Firefox is heading the same path as IE.

Thanks for the tip. It seems to have fix nbc a little. cbs is still slow.

Why has Firefox not fix it if they broke it?

If they can not fix it, which browser would you recommend that would have noscript and adblock? I have grown to like those two add ons.
