I'm not getting a crash report, it just closed on random and whenever I started it up, it closed again.

Is this an issue that others are having with Firefox for Windows 8.1 or is it a virus I should be looking out for?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link}

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?
