Updated Firefox and now the Youtube default player is smaller than normal compared to before and other browsers
Had Firefox 38 or alike and no auto update, updated manually to Firefox.44 and now .45 and on Youtube the sites video player (unzoomed) is much smaller than before and smaller compared to other browsers (look like Chrome when you have just downloaded something that shows a bar in the lower part of the screen which makes the player smaller so you can see everything, except the problem is all the time).
It's like the player have shrunk all together because there is a lot of extra space on the sides that should be filled.
Have added pictures that show the problem in Firefox and how it used to look like and how it is in Chrome.
Hope there is some solution to this, thank you for your time.

Hmm, it's odd. If I open the Inspector in the lower part of the tab to check on the video size, it shrinks. The video appears to resize based on vertical height of the "viewport", which is the inner part of the window. In your screen shots, the difference between Firefox and Chrome is negligible, but it could possibly explain the difference. As shown in the attached screenshot, just a couple pixels divide one size from the next.
Could you test turning off the menu bar and see whether that opens up enough space to switch the viewer dimensions?

The Player in your image on the left is the correct size and in my browser as well. The actual CSS defines the player's dimensions to be 640x360 which it is. I've never noticed its size to be that on the right.
If you right-click the player in each browser and check the "Stats for nerds" are they using the same dimensions and resolution? Sample screen shot attached.
They aren't actually, Firefox seems to use "480x360" and Chrome "640x480", is this fixable? Added screenshots
(my screen has resolution of 1366x768 if that matters)
If you click the "gear" icon on the player control bar, will YouTube let you switch from 360p to 480p?

Yes, all the way up to 1080p on HD videos, size stays the same though, (same in Chrome that size stays the same when changing quality)

Maybe there was a subtle change in the default Firefox theme that modified the height of the toolbar area for Windows 10. The tab bar does seem to be a little taller than necessary. However, it's after midnight here, and I run Windows 7, so hopefully someone else can look into that and how to compact it a bit so you can still fit the menu bar and not get your videos downsized.
